HOUSTON, TX – A driver died after crashing their Jaguar into a bridge pillar in downtown Houston on Friday morning, KHOU 11 reports.

The motorist was driving near 500 West Dallas Street when they sped through an intersection and slammed into a pillar on the interstate. They were declared dead at the scene.

Authorities believe that the driver was unfamiliar with the area but police are also working to determine if intoxication played a factor in the wreck.

Driver crashes into IHOP during police chase

HOUSTON, TX – A driver crashed into an IHOP during a police chase on early Friday morning, according to ABC 13.

Multiple children hurt in fatal wreck on TC Jester Boulevard

HOUSTON, TX – Multiple children were hurt in a fatal wreck on TC Jester Boulevard on Thursday night, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office reports.

Authorities did not provide details about what led up to the accident, which occurred at TC Jester Boulevard and Swords Creek at around 10:14 p.m.

Photos of the incident indicate that a Chevrolet crossover SUV and a Cadillac sedan were involved in the collision.

One adult was killed, and multiple children were hurt.

The investigation into the incident remains open.

HCSO responds to major motorcycle collision on Fry Road

HOUSTON, TX – The Harris County Sheriff’s Office responded to a major motorcycle collision on Fry Road on the evening of Thursday, September 24.

The motorcycle was hit by a car at the intersection of Fry Road and Park Row around 7:34 p.m. The motorcyclist was rushed to the hospital via LifeFlight. Their current condition is unknown at this time.

HPD searching for suspect in hit-and-run on the Katy Freeway

HOUSTON, TX – The Houston Police Department is searching for a suspect in a hit-and-run that took place on the Katy Freeway on the morning of Friday, September 11.

The wreck occurred at 11617 Katy Freeway around 7:45 that morning. A photo posted by the department shows a white male wearing a gray shirt with flowers inside of a convenience store. The 32-year-old victim suffered only minor injuries.

Woman dies from injuries from early September crash on Airport Boulevard

HOUSTON, TX – A woman has tragically died from injuries sustained in a crash on Airport Boulevard on September 2, according to the Houston Police Department.

A press release from the department states that the driver of a 2007 blue Chevrolet Cobalt ran a red light near 3600 Airport Boulevard, crashing into silver Ford Escape driven by the victim. The 86-year-old woman was rushed to the hospital by emergency responders immediately after the wreck. She was declared dead on September 13.

A driver and passenger in the hospital were also transported to the hospital. Their conditions are unknown.

UPDATE: 19-year-old girl killed in collision on the South Sam Houston Parkway

HOUSTON, TX – The victim in Saturday’s fatal collision on the South Sam Houston Parkway has been identified, according to ABC 13.

Authorities say 19-year-old Destiny Rudd was walking in the center lane at 11600 South Sam Houston Parkway when she was struck by a passing green Chevrolet Tahoe. The driver reportedly attempted to swerve out of the way to avoid hitting her but was unsuccessful.

Emergency responders declared Rudd dead at the scene of the accident. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and was released after being questioned. The incident remains under investigation.

Driver hits residence in wreck on Cypresswood
