(HOUSTON, MARCH 2020) —  A heavy truck accident shut down the center lane of West Sam Houston Tollway on Tuesday afternoon around 4:37 PM.

All main lanes on IH-610 shut down after heavy truck accident

UPDATE: Family of gospel singer files suit against cement truck involved in accident

(HOUSTON, FEBRUARY 2020) — 49-year-old LaTonya Earl was killed in a wreck on Friday in a wreck on Old Humble Road. Earl was hit by a passing vehicle that drove over wet cement leftover by a cement truck that had driven over the road earlier. The 19-year-old driver in the other vehicle was also killed.

Her family has launched a wrongful death suit against the company that owns the cement truck, Lattimore Materials Corporation. The lawsuit claims that negligence led to the crash.

Tire smashes through restaurant window after truck accident in The Woodlands

(THE WOODLANDS, January 2020) — A tire smashed through a window of Pallotta’s Italian Grill in The Woodlands/Oak Ridge North on Thursday. According to a video captured from the restaurant’s surveillance, the tire came through the window after a truck accident on Interstate 45.

The driver of the truck went to the restaurant to make sure the employee inside at the time was okay. Another tire from the truck went south of the access road and the truck’s hubcap hit another truck outside another business. Pallotta’s was closed on Thursday as they cleaned up the restaurant.

18-Wheeler Collides with USPS Truck on West Sam Houston Parkway

A USPS delivery truck collided with an 18-wheeler Wednesday evening in Harris County, according to KHOU11 NewsThe crash occurred on the 7200 block of West Sam Houston Parkway. No injuries have been reported in relation to the collision, and authorities are investigating who is at fault. 

First responders quickly moved the trucks off the freeway, despite rush hour traffic that could have impeded cleanup. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office assisted with securing the area after the crash.
