One killed in fatal hit-and-run crash in Spring

SPRING, TX – One person was killed in a hit-and-run collision in Spring, ABC 13 news reports. 

Authorities found the body of the victim at the 22700 block of Aldine Westfield Road around 5 a.m. on Sunday, May 12. Authorities are not exactly clear on what happened, but believe the driver of a Kia is responsible for the accident.

Anyone with information about the accident should call the Harris County Precinct 4 Deputy Constable office.

Hit and Run Accident on West 20th Street

(HOUSTON, January 2020) Police are reporting a hit and run crash that occurred just after 3 p.m. on West 20th Street. The accident has been classified as a major crash and involved a failure to stop and render aid (commonly called hit and run). It is currently unknown if there have been injuries or fatalities as a result of this crash that would warrant further investigation by HPD. UPDATE: Man killed in hit-and-run in north Houston identified

(HOUSTON, January 2020) — The man killed in a hit-and-run accident in north Houston on Friday night has been identified. 34-year-old Shaun Copeland was pulling out of a supermarket parking lot when he was hit by a grey SUV on 4700 Lauder Road. The force of the crash caused Copeland’s vehicle to fall into a ditch, and he was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle fled from the scene, but a witness described the driver’s vehicle as a grey SUV. The car’s bumper was left behind in the accident. The vehicle was last seen heading toward Eastex Freeway on Lauder.

Copeland was a machinist who worked up to 12 hours a day. He was also a father of two sons and a daughter, as well as the husband to wife Nicole Copeland. Our thoughts are with the Copeland family at this time.

72-year-old man killed in hit-and-run in southwest Houston

(HOUSTON, January 2020) — A 72-year-old man was walking on the 12300 block of Almeda Road in southwest Houston when he was hit by an unknown vehicle on Tuesday morning. The man was killed upon impact, and the driver fled the scene.

One killed in hit-and-run accident in north Houston

(HOUSTON, January 2020) — According to authorities, a black Chevrolet Tahoe was pulling out of a supermarket parking lot at 4700 Lauder Road when it collided with a silver truck around 8 PM on Friday night. Police believe the driver of the silver truck was speeding.

Following the crash, the Chevrolet Tahoe rolled into a ditch and the driver was ejected from the vehicle. The driver died upon impact. The driver of the silver truck fled the scene. Man killed in New Year’s Eve hit and run accident in northwest Houston

(HOUSTON, December 2o19) — A pedestrian was hit and killed in a hit and run accident on New Year’s Eve, according to authorities. A man was walking near the intersection of Cutten Road and FM-1960 when he was hit by what authorities believe was a grey Chevy Malibu around 7 PM on New Year’s Eve.  According to witnesses, the driver fled the scene, running two red lights in the process.

The driver was airlifted to the hospital where he died of his injuries. Because the pedestrian was not using a crosswalk at the time of the crash, the driver would not have been at fault if he had not fled the scene.

UPDATE: Victim identified in hit-and-run accident near Eastex Freeway and Little York Road

(HOUSTON, December 2019) — The victim of a hit-and-run car accident near Eastex Freeway and Little York Road on Sunday has been identified. Authorities say Elaine Jolivet was driving in a Nissan Rogue when 29-year-old Sergio Israel Fernandez was speeding down the road and slammed into her vehicle. After the accident, Fernandez fled the scene in a gray pickup truck before authorities arrived.

Jolivet was pronounced dead at the scene. She was a certified Christian counselor, the mother of three young girls, and recently released her own self-help book. Fernandez has been charged with Failing to Stop and Render Aid but has not yet been arrested by authorities. One killed in hit-and-run crash near Eastex Freeway

(HOUSTON, December 2019) — A woman was killed in a fatal hit-and-run accident near Eastex Freeway and Little York on Sunday. A driver in a Mercedes was speeding when it slammed into the victim’s vehicle, pushing her car several feet down the road. The Mercedes then flipped over into a nearby ditch, where it caught on fire.

According to authorities, the driver in the Mercedes was captured on surveillance video getting into another vehicle and leaving the scene before emergency crews arrived. Police officers ran the plates on the Mercedes and went to the vehicle owner’s home, but he was not there. BREAKING: Police Investigating Fatal Car Accident at 3100 North Freeway

(HOUSTON, December 2o19) — A man was hit and killed by an oncoming vehicle while attempting to cross North Interstate Highway 45 around 12:45 AM on Thursday morning. Unfortunately, the car fled the scene after the accident. The identity of both the victim and the driver is yet to be determined. Fatal Car Crash at Tidwell Road

(HOUSTON, December 2019) — Authorities are investigating a fatal auto-pedestrian accident that occurred at 3200 Tidwell Road in Houston. The collision occurred around 5:50 AM on Wednesday, and the driver of the car reportedly fled the scene. The victim, a 62-year-old male, was crossing the road near the intersection at Edell Street when he was struck by a red Lincoln. The pedestrian was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
