Two killed in wrong-way crash on US 290

(HOUSTON, MARCH 2020) — A truck and a Toyota Corolla slammed into one another on US-290 near West Tidwell Road on Saturday morning around 2:20 AM. The truck was reportedly driving in the wrong direction.

The driver of the Corolla was killed upon impact while the individual in the truck died of their injuries at a nearby hospital.

The main lanes on US-290 at West Tidwell Road were shut down after the accident but have since re-opened.

Wet cement leads to fatal car accident

(HOUSTON, FEBRUARY 2020) — Shortly after 6 AM on Friday morning, two cars collided head-on at Old Humble Road and Bender Road. According to authorities, a Lattimore Materials truck malfunctioned and spilled wet cement onto the road. One of the drivers lost control on the wet cement and slammed into another vehicle.

Both drivers were killed upon impact. Their identities have not yet been released.

Man hit and killed by vehicle while running across FM 1960

(HOUSTON, FEBRUARY 2020) — A man ran out from the woods near FM 1960 near Mills Road on Monday night around 8:11 PM. While running on the road, he was hit by a passing vehicle. The driver of said vehicle got out of his car and called the authorities. The man was then hit by another vehicle, which also stopped.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Motorcyclist killed by SUV in hit-and-run

(HOUSTON, FEBRUARY 2020) — A motorcyclist was struck and killed by an SUV at the intersection of 45 North Freeway and Gulf Bank around 9 PM on Friday night. The SUV was reportedly speeding when it hit the back of the motorcycle at a red light.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the hospital. A pregnant woman and her two kids in another vehicle involved in the accident were transported to the hospital but were later released.

The SUV that fled the scene is said to be dark-colored and has significant damage to its bumper and front end.

Man shot while driving, crashes into fence in southeast Houston

(HOUSTON, January 2020) — A driver was traveling on the 1200 block of Elberta when he was shot by gunfire from outside the vehicle on Sunday night. The man was struck by a bullet and then crashed into a nearby fence.

Witnesses reported seeing two men fleeing the scene on foot. The man was killed in the accident. Anyone with information about the accident is encouraged to contact the Houston Police Department.

BREAKING: Police Investigating Fatal Car Accident at 3100 North Freeway

(HOUSTON, December 2o19) — A man was hit and killed by an oncoming vehicle while attempting to cross North Interstate Highway 45 around 12:45 AM on Thursday morning. Unfortunately, the car fled the scene after the accident. The identity of both the victim and the driver is yet to be determined. Five-year-old killed in crash in Northeast Houston at Tidwell and Valley Forest Drive

(HOUSTON, December 2019) – A five-year-old child was tragically killed in an accident on Monday morning in Northeast Houston. A 29-year-old mother of three was driving her children to school and day care at approximately 5:30 a.m. when she lost control of the vehicle and landed upside down in a ditch. While she was able to pull her six and seven year old children from the vehicle, the five-year-old was trapped inside and did not survive. According to Houston Police Department and ABC13 Houston, the mother was driving 32 miles per hour in a 40 mph zone, so speed was likely not a factor in the crash. Authorities are still investigating the cause of this tragic accident.
