(HOUSTON, APRIL 2020) — According to Houston TranStar, a major accident was reported at 1901 Blalock Road and 9427 Hammerly Boulevard.

The accident was reported at 5:50 PM and has yet to be cleared. Those traveling in the direction of the accident are encouraged to make alternate travel plans.

Accident reported on IH-10 Katy and Federal Road

(HOUSTON, APRIL 2020) — A car accident was reported on IH-10 Katy and Federal Road on Thursday afternoon.

The right shoulder of the freeway was shut down after the accident. The scene was cleared around 12:30 PM.

Lanes shut down on SH-288 after car wreck

(HOUSTON, MARCH 2020) — The right lane and center lane of SH-288 was shut down following a car accident on Holly Hall Street on Tuesday night.

One seriously injured in hit-and-run accident in Alief

(ALIEF, MARCH 2020) — One person was killed in a hit-and-run accident in Alief on Saturday night/Sunday morning.

A Mustang was traveling on the 14100 block of Laterna Lane at a high rate of speed when it crashed into three parked vehicles. The driver of the Mustang got out of the car,  but not before taking the license plate with them. A passenger in the car suffered serious injuries.

A witness, however, was able to catch the driver before he fled the scene. Authorities believe the driver was under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

The driver will be charged, and the charges are expected to increase if the passenger dies of their injuries.

UPDATE: Teen injured in crash in Katy dies of injuries

(HOUSTON, MARCH 2020) — The teen injured in a crash in Katy on Monday has unfortunately passed away.

The boy was a passenger, along with two other minors, in a black Chrysler driving on Morton Road. The car was reportedly speeding when it crashed around 6:15 PM.

The driver of the car, 29-year-old Jeremy Blackshear, was killed in the accident. The 13-year-old boy was care-flighted to a nearby hospital. He died of his injuries on Tuesday.

BREAKING: Bicyclist left in critical condition after accident in Houston

(HOUSTON, MARCH 2020). — A bicyclist was care-flighted to the hospital in critical condition after a collision with a car on Wednesday evening.

At Fry Road and Kieth Harrow Boulevard, the bicyclist was hit by a black Charger when they both approached the intersection.

The driver remained at the scene and did not show any signs of driving while impaired.

Man killed, boy in critical condition following crash in Katy

(KATY, MARCH 2020) — One man was killed and a boy was rushed to the hospital in critical condition following a car wreck in Katy on Monday evening.

A Chrysler was speeding at 100 miles per hour on Morton Road near Fry when he lost control of his vehicle and flipped it over. Three minors were inside of the vehicle at the time, and the driver and a passenger were ejected from the car.

The driver was killed upon impact and one of the boys was transported to Memorial Hermann in critical condition.

The crash remains under investigation.

UPDATE: Charges expected in street-racing crash in southeast Houston

(HOUSTON, MARCH 2020) — Charges are expected in a street-racing crash that occurred in southeast Houston on Sunday.

A Cadillac and a Corvette crashed near Beamer Road, close to a South Beltway 8 feeder road. Both vehicles were racing each other and speeding when they slammed into a nearby power line support tower. The Cadillac contained a 9-year-old passenger, who was rescued from the wreckage of the accident and is expected to be okay. The driver of the Cadillac was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

According to Houston Police Department Sgt. Thomas Fendia, it is likely that the driver of the Corvette will face charges and the driver of the Cadillac may as well if he survives his injuries.
