(HOUSTON, APRIL 2020) — A car accident was reported on IH-10 Katy and Federal Road on Thursday afternoon.

The right shoulder of the freeway was shut down after the accident. The scene was cleared around 12:30 PM.

BREAKING: Bicyclist left in critical condition after accident in Houston

(HOUSTON, MARCH 2020). — A bicyclist was care-flighted to the hospital in critical condition after a collision with a car on Wednesday evening.

At Fry Road and Kieth Harrow Boulevard, the bicyclist was hit by a black Charger when they both approached the intersection.

The driver remained at the scene and did not show any signs of driving while impaired.

UPDATE: Charges expected in street-racing crash in southeast Houston

(HOUSTON, MARCH 2020) — Charges are expected in a street-racing crash that occurred in southeast Houston on Sunday.

A Cadillac and a Corvette crashed near Beamer Road, close to a South Beltway 8 feeder road. Both vehicles were racing each other and speeding when they slammed into a nearby power line support tower. The Cadillac contained a 9-year-old passenger, who was rescued from the wreckage of the accident and is expected to be okay. The driver of the Cadillac was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

According to Houston Police Department Sgt. Thomas Fendia, it is likely that the driver of the Corvette will face charges and the driver of the Cadillac may as well if he survives his injuries.

Woman trapped in her car after violent crash in Houston’s Westbury neighborhood

(HOUSTON, MARCH 2020) — A woman was rescued from the wreckage of a violent crash in the Westbury neighborhood on Monday afternoon.

The driver was reportedly traveling on Willowbend near Rampart when she was hit by a younger driver who thought the intersection was clear. The force of the accident trapped the woman inside her car,  though she was rescued by paramedics. The crash occurred around 6:40 PM.

Authorities believe the woman will be okay.

9-year-old rescued from street-racing crash in southeast Houston

(HOUSTON, MARCH 2020) — A 9-year-old was pulled from the aftermath of a racing-related crash in southeast Houston on Sunday night.

According to the Houston Chronicle, the young boy was in a Cadillac that was racing the driver of a Corvette. The cars then crashed at the South Beltway 8 feeder road near Beamer Road. The boy was pulled from the wreckage by one of the street racers.

The crash is still under investigation. The boy is reported to be in stable condition.

26-mile high-speed police chase ends in crash in Aldine

(ALDINE, MARCH 2020) — A suspect led police on a high-speed police chase from Conroe to Aldine on Sunday.

According to Click2Houston, a Texas State Trooper pulled over a black Nissan for a traffic violation on Interstate 45 and FM 1488. When the trooper went to run the individual’s license, the driver sped off.

A chase then ensued down Interstate 45 with speeds reaching up to 140 miles per hour. Ultimately, the chase ended in a crash at Lauder and Aldine Westfield Roads. He reportedly slammed into three other vehicles at the intersection and then attempted to run away from the scene on foot.

A driver involved in the crash was able to grab the suspect and detain him until the police arrived.

All main lanes shut down on SH-288 after vehicle fire in Brazoria County

(BRAZORIA COUNTY, MARCH 2020) —  All main lanes were shut down on SH-288 at Cannon Road in Brazoria County.

The cause of the shut down is a vehicle fire, according to Houston TranStar. The cause of the fire is not yet known at this time, but the team at the Mokaram Law Firm is monitoring the situation and will report back with any updates, should they become available.

The accident has yet to be cleared, so travelers are encouraged to avoid the area if possible.

Truck spills 40,000 pounds of Gatorade bottles after truck accident in Willis

(WILLIS, MARCH 2020) — A heavy truck accident led to 40,000 pounds of Gatorade to spilled along I-45 in Willis early Friday morning.

The truck was reportedly on its way to Houston when it ran off the roadway and through a median before it rolled over. The accident occurred just after midnight on Friday at I-45’s intersection with Calvary.

The driver suffered minor cuts as a result of the accident.

Heavy truck accident shuts down traffic on IH-10 Westbound

(BROOKSHIRE, MARCH 2020) — A heavy truck accident shut down the right shoulder, right lane, and center lane of IH-10 Westbound on Wednesday afternoon.

The accident also resulted in a hazmat spill and a vehicle fire. The incident occurred at the freeway’s intersection with FM 359 in Waller County. The accident has yet to be cleared, so avoid the area if possible.
