5-vehicle collision shuts down lanes on SH-288 Northbound

(HOUSTON, MARCH 2020) — A five-vehicle car wreck shut down multiple lanes on SH-288 Northbound on Wednesday morning. The accident occurred at the freeway’s intersection with IH-610 South Loop.

Following the accident, SH-288’s left and center lane were affected. However, according to Houston TranStar, the accident was cleared around 10:02 AM this morning.

UPDATE: Victim in fatal Old Humble Road crash identified

(HOUSTON, FEBRUARY 2020) — A victim in the fatal accident on Old Humble Road at Bender Road has now been identified. According to authorities, one of the drivers hit another after driving over wet cement that has been left by a malfunctioning cement truck early this morning.

One of the victims was gospel singer LaTonya Earl, a prominent gospel singer in the Houston community.

Man killed after slamming into concrete barrier in north Houston

(HOUSTON, February 2020) — Just before 1 AM on Monday morning, a driver slammed into a concrete barrier at the 400 block of Aldine Bender Road near Spence Road in north Houston. Police say the driver was traveling at a high rate of speed, but the cause of the accident has not yet been confirmed.

The driver was pronounced dead the scene. His identity has not yet been revealed.

3-year-old child killed in driveway accident in Cypress

(CYPRESS, January 2020) — A 3-year-old girl was tragically killed in a driveway accident in Cypress on Saturday. The family’s car was reportedly set in neutral when it began to roll back and eventually hit the child.

The crash occurred at the 18300 block of East Laura Shore around 10:45 AM. The girl was rushed to the hospital but was succumbed to her injuries.

One flown to hospital after serious accident in Cypress

(HOUSTON, January 2020) — A serious car accident on North Fry Road near Arbor Creek Drive shut down the road for hours on Tuesday afternoon.

One patient was transported by a Memorial Hermann Life Flight in critical condition, while another individual was transported to the hospital by medics.

38-year-old killed in hit-and-run on Eastex Freeway

(HOUSTON, January 2020) — 38-year-old Zachary Jackson was killed in a hit-and-run collision on the Eastex Freeway on Sunday morning. Jackson was reportedly fixing a faulty wheel on his vehicle on a feeder road when he was struck and killed by a passing SUV. The driver of the SUV did not stop after the accident.

A woman with Jackson was also injured during the accident. The investigation into the collision is still ongoing.

Drivers Involved in Fender Bender Killed in Crash on South Loop

Houston, TX (November 15) – What began as a minor fender bender on the South Loop in Houston on Friday morning turned into a deadly accident that left two people dead.

Authorities reported that two vehicles were involved in a minor collision in the westbound lanes near Cullen Boulevard. Both drivers were out of the vehicles to inspect the damage when a pickup truck slammed into one of the vehicles and both drivers, killing them both.

The westbound lanes were closed at Martin Luther King Blvd. for about two hours today while Houston police investigated the crash.
