Man killed in New Year’s Eve hit and run accident in northwest Houston

(HOUSTON, December 2o19) — A pedestrian was hit and killed in a hit and run accident on New Year’s Eve, according to authorities. A man was walking near the intersection of Cutten Road and FM-1960 when he was hit by what authorities believe was a grey Chevy Malibu around 7 PM on New Year’s Eve.  According to witnesses, the driver fled the scene, running two red lights in the process.

The driver was airlifted to the hospital where he died of his injuries. Because the pedestrian was not using a crosswalk at the time of the crash, the driver would not have been at fault if he had not fled the scene.
