HOUSTON, TX – According to KHOU, a suspect has died following a police chase.

Police were chasing a stolen vehicle at a high rate of speed when the suspect vehicle crashed on Evergreen Drive. The accident took place near Kernel Street this morning.

The car caught fire. Police attempted to save the suspect but he died at the crash scene.

One fatality reported following hit and run crash on Gulf Bank Road
