Tomball man killed in east Texas plane crash

ZAVALLA, TX –  A man from Tomball was killed in a plane crash in east Texas on Saturday, according to the team at Click2Houston.

The crash occurred near a private landing strip in Zavalla in Angelina County. The victim has been identified as 40-year-old James Duke Vanlue. Investigators believe his plane crashed after clipping trees near the landing strip.

The incident remains under investigation.
